APPLE ANNOUNCES THE NEW MAC PRO and we will tell you whats the good and bad about it

 well its been long time now since apple introduced mac pro. roomers were out there that apple have stopped its mac pro series but finally now in 2013 apple have once again came back with new mac pro. its been a major overhaul in apple mac pro ever since its been released so whats the good whats the bad lets check out.

 

so this is the new look of the apple's new mac pro. its a 100% change in design and the form factor.  its something which was never seen in computers from really long time. a lot of you might love iot or hate it cause of the form factor which is cylindrical. but the main thing is under the hood. 

this is how it looks like from the inside.its not just the new form factor, its also new limits of engineering of bringing such extreme capabilities in such a small form factor. yes you read it right its smaller than the huge tower mac pros which we are familiar with. to reduce the space apple have soldered the gnu processor and memory everything around a single thermal core which works like a heat sink which looks like this 

and its cooled by single radiator and fan which throws the heat out from the top

isn't that a great thinking to reduce the space? and this mac pro is not just a show off of its beautiful design. its is a real extreme hardcore performance machine.

Inside is the new generation intel xeon chip with 12 cores processing power configuration, 40gb/s of pcie 3rd gen bandwidth, and 256 bit-wide floating instruction.

we got the ram, not just any other normal ram its the fastest ECC 1866 MHZ on 4 channel controled with 60gb/s bandwidth.

internal storage is based on flash memory. not just any other regular flash, we got new pcie based flash. it have 1.2gb/s of read speed and 1.0gb/s of write speed.

its 10 times faster than any other normal hard drive used ever before.

for expansion we got brand new thunder bolt 2 . hit have speed of 20gb/s. and its backwards compatible which means you can plug in yout thunderbolt 1 and firewire cables in the same port.

well mac pros are ment for heave usage like rendering video editing, and other heave stuff. so for this apple have first time added a dual workstation gpu to a mac pro. 

it have the AMD fire pro graphics in it. it comes with 4096 stream processor, 528 gb/s bandwidth. its more than the double of graphics performance by the previous mac pro. it provides 7.2 teraflops to application. if thats not enough it supports 4k displays. not one , niter 2 but 3 4k displays together. 

all this in a small form factor as i said erlier but how small?? its this small as compated to the previous mac pro

its 1/8th of the previous mac pr. its a real tiny one. 

so thats all the good stuff now lt me tell you about the cons

1- no expansion. although apple claims that thunderbolt is future of expansion but you can expand only your storage noting else. you can't change the gnu or cpu or the memory because everything is soldered together the thermal core inside the cpu

2-the form factor. although its a good overhaul but still it doesn't give the premium or heavy look as the previous gen mac pros were. we all loved the have aluminum heavy case which look so much heave and royal. the new design doest impress much. honestly speaking it looks exactly like a dustbin if you keep them side by side and its very sad. more more thing is that due to the cylindrical form factor you wont get proper space to keep it. normally every cpu is square or rectangle and you can place it in any corner and we do it. but thats not the case with the new mac pro we cant really keep that in a perfect place.

3-price. its the biggest factor that most people will say no to the mac pro. although the new mac pro is double the perforce but the price is 3 times increased. its really really sad because already the previous mac pro was over priced now this one is one step beyond it. apple must consider the price tag on their products according to the features they give with it.

there are many apple fan boys who wont kind emptying their bank account to buy these new gen mac  pros but honestly speaking its a wrong decision. one should not waste so much money on a overpriced device like this but in the end its personal preferences . will the new mac pro bring a radical revolution? well only time can say that.
