so its been more than a week that sammobile gave a leaked version of android 4.2.2 for galaxy grand. if you missed it click here.. so i have been using it for a week now and m listing some of the differences from android 4.1.2 to 4.2.2 . before making any opinion let me tell you its a test rom which means its still in its beta stage so obviously there are some bugs here and there which will be solved in the official release. so lets start with the new things that you see
the very first change you can see is that the notification bar is now transparent. and the weather app which we saw on samsung galaxy s4 which is really accurate.
next thing is the lock screen
sorry i couldn't show you in picture but we get the galaxy s4 light flair effect when we unlock the phone
.
the icons in notification pannel are lil bit longer now and as you can see there is an option for quick toggels on top right and you can get it by pulling the notification pannel with two fingers and it looks like this
as you can see we get 10 options now and unfortunately power saving mode is not working currently but it will be fixed in official release.
next thing i would like to show you is the settings menu
as you can see the settings menu is completely changed now and its divided into 4 categories which makes it easier to find what exactly you want
as you can see the android version is 4.2.2 and the status is official.. one of the best thing of the update is that now you can move apps directly to your sd card without root so now you can add more games in your phones which you couldn't earlier
although there ate not much spectacular changes in the ui but the changes are noticeable at places as you can see below the gallery and music player have some changes
the score in quadrant shows a remarkable improvement but at the same time simple games like temple run lags after scoring around 10,00,000 the games lags a lot.
end of the day this is a great update if you are not into gaming because all other tasks are carried out very fluently. we hope that the official update comes soon but it wont be any sooner than December because first the note 2 and galaxy s3 will get the official update in November 2013. that all for now guys and i would strongly recommend you to try this rom and i will make a detailed video of this rom in few days
